Srinagar, April 29 -- Pakistan and India exchanged gunfire for a fifth night in a row across the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir, the army said.
They said the ceasefire violation was reported from Kupwara and Baramulla districts of Kashmir and the Akhnoor sector in Jammu.
"During the night of 28-29 April 2025, the Pakistan Army resorted to unprovoked small arms firing across the Line of Control in areas opposite Kupwara and Baramulla districts, as well as the Akhnoor sector. The Indian Army responded in a measured and effective manner to the provocation," the army said on Tuesday.
There were no reports of casualties during the exchange of fire.
