SRINAGAR, April 29 -- The Jammu and Kashmir government has ordered the temporary closure of 48 tourist destinations across Kashmir, out of a total of 87, due to security concerns following the recent terror attack in Pahalgam that left 26 people, mostly tourists, dead.
The attack took place at Baisaran, a meadow accessible by foot or pony, four kilometres from Pahalgam.
The tourist spots that have been shut include: Yousmarg, Tosa Maidan, Doodhpathri, Aharbal, Kausarnag, Bangus, Kariwan Diver Chandigam, Bangus Valley, Wular/Watlab, Rampora, Rajpora, Charar, Mundij-Hamam-Markoot Waterfall, Khampoo, Bosnia, Vijitop, Sun Temple, Verinag Garden, Sinthan Top, Margan Top, Akad Park, Habba Khatoon Point, Baba Reshi, Ringawali, Gogaldara, Baderko...
