Jammu Tawi, March 19 -- A Jammu court has issued a non-bailable warrant against Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Mehraj Malik in a defamation case filed by former MLA and minister Ghulam Mohammad Saroori.

The Special Excise Mobile Magistrate directed the SHO of Police Station Gundoh to arrest Malik and present him before the Court on May 14. The warrant follows charges under Section 499 of the Indian Penal Code for defamation, relating to allegations made during the District Development Council (DDC) elections in Doda.
