Jammu Tawi, March 19 -- Union Minister of State for Personnel, on Wednesday confirmed that the government is not considering any proposal to change the retirement age of its employees. In a written response in the Lok Sabha, Singh also clarified that there is no policy in place to abolish the vacancies created by the retirement of government employees.

"There is no proposal to change the retirement age of government employees under consideration," Singh stated, in response to queries regarding potential adjustments to the retirement age. He further added that no formal request had been received from government employee unions or organizations regarding such a change.
