Jammu, May 10 -- The Jammu and Kashmir government on Saturday said all necessary measures were being taken to maintain security of vital installations and that it was fully equipped to handle any situation emerging from Pakistan's drone and missile attacks. There is no cause for alarm, said government sources.

"The general public is requested to stay calm and not panic. Please follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) issued by NDMA and the government," said an official statement.

It said misinformation and unverified claims circulating on social media can cause unnecessary panic.
