Jammu Tawi, April 1 -- The District Development Council (DDC) chairperson of Budgam, Nazir Ahmad Khan, will face a no-confidence motion on April 7, marking a significant event as it becomes the first such test for the head of a third-tier Panchayati Raj system in Jammu and Kashmir.
The Deputy Commissioner of Budgam has called a meeting of the council on April 7 at 11:30 am for the consideration of the motion. This decision follows a directive from the High Court, which instructed authorities to address the no-confidence motion against the DDC chairperson.
