Jammu, Nov. 11 -- The by-elections in Jammu & Kashmir recorded an impressive turnout on Tuesday, with the Nagrota Assembly segment registering a high 74.82 percent turnout and a moderate 50.01 percent turnout recording by Bydgam.
According to official figures released by the Election Commission of India (ECI), the 77-Nagrota constituency saw 74.82% voter participation while the 27-Budgam segment recorded a turnout of 50.01%.
"As per data received till 7:30 PM, 77-Nagrota Assembly Constituency has recorded 74.82% and 27-Budgam Assembly Constituency has recorded a turnout of 50.01%" said Joint Chief Electoral Officer, J&K, Anil Salgotra.
