Jammu Tawi, March 25 -- A significant percentage of schools in Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh continue to implement the three-language formula as part of their curriculum, as per data from the Ministry of Education. However, student enrollment trends indicate varying levels of language adoption in both the Union Territories.
According to the latest figures, 81.2% of schools in J&K and 77.4% in Ladakh offer three languages, while 15.7% of schools in J&K and 21.4% in Ladakh teach two languages. A smaller percentage, 3.1% in J&K and 1.2% in Ladakh, offer only one language in their curriculum, reads the data, a copy of which lies with the news age.
