Jammu Tawi, Feb. 14 -- The Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Friday wrote to the President, seeking approval to prosecute Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Satyendra Jain in a money laundering case.
The ministry said on the basis of the material received from the Enforcement Directorate, "adequate proof" has been found against Jain to grant sanction for prosecution in this case as it requested President Droupadi Murmu to prosecute the case against him in court. The MHA sought the sanction under Section 218 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, news agency said, citing sources.
