Srinagar, May 4 -- Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) President Mehbooba Mufti on Saturday claimed that National Conference (NC) president Dr Farooq Abdullah's statement implicating Kashmiris in the Pahalgam terror attack is deeply disturbing & regrettable.
However, the NC chief spokesman and MLA Zadibal, Tanvir Sadiq reacted sharply to her statement and termed it as "reckless."
In a post on X, Mehbooba wrote: "Farooq sahab's statement implicating Kashmiris in the Pahalgam terror attack is deeply disturbing & regrettable. As a senior leader that too as a Kashmiri his statement risks fuelling divisive narratives providing ammunition to certain media channels to further stereotype & stigmatise Kashmiris & Muslims."
