Srinagar, Sept. 16 -- Waking up to the arbitrary termination of teachers, the Jammu and Kashmir government has asked all private schools to submit audited financial statements for the last two years.

Since the lockdown, private schools have directed their teachers to work from home and hold online classes.

However, many teachers working with reputed private schools had to take salary cuts. Some schools laid-off teachers despite charging fees from the students.

Sources said after receiving complaints about the termination of teachers without notice, all private schools including those affiliated with CBSC and ICSC have been directed to submit financial and other details within 10 days.
