Jammu Tawi, July 11 -- The revered Shri Machail Mata Yatra, a cornerstone of spiritual devotion in Jammu and Kashmir, will be temporarily paused from July 15 to July 24, as announced by the Kishtwar administration and the Shri Chandi Mata Sewa Samiti.
This pause is intended to facilitate final preparations for the annual pilgrimage, ensuring a safe, comfortable and spiritually fulfilling experience for the lakhs of devotees expected to participate.
The Machail Mata Yatra, dedicated to Goddess Chandi Mata, will officially commence on July 25 and continue until September 5.
The pilgrimage draws devotees from across India and beyond to the sacred Shri Chandi Mata Temple in Machail, located in the scenic Paddar region of Kishtwar district.
