India, Jan. 28 -- The Jammu and Kashmir Government has constituted District-Level Monitoring Committees across all districts to strengthen mental health protection and prevent suicides among students. According to a government order issued by the General Administration Department, the committees will function at the district level to monitor, coordinate and implement measures aimed at safeguarding students' mental well-being.

Each committee will be headed by the Deputy Commissioner of the concerned district. The Chief Education Officer, Chief Medical Officer, District Social Welfare Officer and a representative from civil society will serve as members.
