Srinagar, Oct. 30 -- The Legislative Assembly of Jammu & Kashmir on Thursday passed four bills without much debate and discussion.
The House passed four bills- "Jammu and Kashmir Panchayati Raj (Amendment) Bill, 2025, "Jammu and Kashmir Shops and Establishments (Licensing, Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Bill, 2025", "Jammu and Kashmir Cooperative Societies (Amendment) Bill, 2025" and "Jammu and Kashmir Tenancy Bill, 2025".
The Bills were passed by the House through a voice vote.
As per details, the Jammu & Kashmir Panchayati Raj (Amendment) Bill, 2025 proposes to enhance the upper age limit of state election commissioner from existing 65 to 70.
