Jammu Tawi, March 26 -- The Jammu & Kashmir Legislative Assembly on Tuesday approved Rs 1.12 lakh crore budget of the Union Territory for 2025-26, with passage of the Appropriation Bill.
After the culmination of the Question Hour, the Assembly passed the Appropriation Bill for 2025-26 (L.A. Bill No. 3 of 2025) introduced by Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah, who also holds the Finance portfolio.
The bill was passed in the absence of BJP members, who had staged a walkout earlier over the issue of daily wagers.
It also passed the Appropriation Bill for the financial year 2024-25 to approve supplementary grants for the current financial year.
