Jammu Tawi, April 9 -- Tensions escalated outside the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly on Wednesday as Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Mehraj Malik was assaulted by BJP legislators, with videos of the incident now circulating widely on social media. The confrontation occurred after heated exchanges inside the Assembly, where Malik clashed not only with BJP MLAs but also with PDP legislator Waheed Para during a tumultuous legislative session.

The chaos began after the BJP accused Malik of making derogatory remarks against Hindus during media interactions. BJP MLA Vikram Randhawa lashed out at Malik, demanding strict action and invoking the Public Safety Act (PSA). "He has abused Hindus... We will not tolerate this... He said 'Hindu tilak laga ke rap...
