Jammu Tawi, March 17 -- The Jammu & Kashmir Legislative Assembly on Monday witnessed uproarious scenes over the police action against protesters who had taken to the streets following the death of two tribal youth in South Kashmir's Kulgam district.
As soon as the Question Hour began, MLA Surankote Choudhary Muhammad Akram stood up, demanding action against the police personnel responsible for assaulting a woman, who was protesting against the deaths.
"It a matter of serious concern that a lady was kicked by a police officer. The House should condemn it," Akram demanded.
Legislators from NC, Congress and PDP also stood up, demanding action against the erring police personnel.
