Srinagar, April 11 -- In a continued crackdown on drug trafficking, Anantnag Police have attached properties valued at over Rs.1.2 crore belonging to individuals involved in multiple narcotics cases across the district, officials said on Friday.

In one of the major actions under Section 68-F of the NDPS Act, police attached a single-storey house and one kanal of land in Sallar, Anantnag. The property belongs to Bashir Ahmad Wani, accused in FIR No. 65/2018 registered at Police Station Srigufwara in connection with the recovery of a large quantity of poppy straw. The value of the seized property is estimated at over Rs.70 lakh.
