Jammu Tawi, March 20 -- Jammu and Kashmir Police have detained a person in connection with attempts to spread sectarian divisions on social media. The person, whose identity has not been disclosed, was detained a day after the tragic abduction and murder of a girl from South Kashmir. The girl's body was found at the accused's residence on the outskirts of Srinagar.

In response to the incident, the police have urged the public to refrain from posting sectarian content. In a statement on X, Srinagar Police emphasized that anyone found spreading such divisive material will face legal consequences.
