JAMMU, Jan. 26 -- A Pakistani intruder was apprehended after crossing the Line of Control (LoC) into Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday night, officials confirmed on Sunday. The intruder, identified as Mohammad Yasir Faiz, a resident of Tetrinote village in Pakistan-occupied Jammu Kashmir (PoJK), was arrested near Salotri border village around 11:30 pm.
According to the authorities, Faiz appeared to be mentally challenged and was promptly taken into custody by the police. He was later shifted to the local police station for questioning. Further investigation is underway to determine the circumstances surrounding his infiltration.
