Srinagar, April 27 -- A 45-year-old social activist, Ghulam Rasool Magray, was shot dead by suspected terrorists inside his home in Kandi Khas area of north Kashmir's Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir late Saturday night, officials said.

According to police, Magray was critically injured after being fired upon and was rushed to a hospital where doctors declared him dead on arrival. The motive behind the attack remains unclear, but authorities have launched a massive manhunt to trace the assailants.
