JAMMU, April 10 -- At least nine people, including seven women, sustained injuries when a Tata Sumo skidded off the road and plunged 100 meters into a gorge near Kota in the Dhargloon area of Mendhar, Poonch district, on Thursday.
According to officials, the vehicle bearing registration number JK03C-5203 lost control, resulting in the accident. All the injured were promptly rescued and shifted to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Mendhar for treatment.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident and launched an investigation into the cause of the road mishap. The condition of some of the injured individuals is reported to be stable, though further medical evaluation is ongoing.
