India, Jan. 27 -- Six persons, including the driver, were injured in a pre-dawn road accident in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday, officials said.

The accident occurred when a private car travelling from Jammu towards Kathua rammed into a road divider near Mela Mode. Officials said the vehicle was being driven at high speed, causing the driver to lose control and crash into the divider, resulting in injuries to all occupants.

The impact caused extensive damage to the vehicle. All six injured persons were immediately shifted to Hiranagar Hospital, where they are undergoing treatment.
