India, Feb. 2 -- An earthquake measuring 4.6 on the Richter scale struck Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir early Monday, officials said.

The tremor occurred at around 5.35 am, with the epicentre located in the Pattan area, they added.

No reports of loss of life or damage to property have been received so far, officials said.
