Shopian, May 13 -- Three terrorists affiliated with Pakistan-backed terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) were gunned down by security forces in an encounter in the Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday. The operation, which began in Kulgam, shifted to a forested area in Shopian where the militants were neutralised after a prolonged exchange of fire. Authorities have confirmed that search operations are ongoing, as intelligence inputs suggest that one more terrorist may be hiding in the vicinity.
