Ramban, Nov. 30 -- Three houses were completely gutted in a major fire that broke out early Sunday in a remote hilltop village of Ramban district, leaving six families homeless, officials said. No casualties were reported in the incident at Gunz Top village of Trigam in Khari tehsil.

Officials said the fire began in one house before spreading rapidly to two adjoining wooden structures. Local volunteers managed to douse the flames, but the intensity of the blaze prevented the families from saving any belongings.

They added that the village's lack of road connectivity further complicated response efforts. A team of officials has been dispatched to assess the damage and provide immediate relief to the affected families.
