Srinagar, April 3 -- Minister of State for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, and Dairying, Prof. S.P. Singh Baghel on Wednesday informed Parliament that Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh have received a total of 59 Mobile Veterinary Units (MVUs) under the Livestock Health and Disease Control Program (LHDCP).
Of these, 50 MVUs are operational in Jammu & Kashmir, while 9 are functioning in Ladakh, providing essential veterinary services to farmers in remote areas.
As per the data, available with the news agency-Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Jammu & Kashmir currently has 50 operational MVUs under the Livestock Health and Disease Control Program (LHDCP), benefiting farmers and treating livestock in remote areas.
