Jammu, June 27 -- The National Conference on Friday opposed what it called unconstitutional and anti-people process of grant of domicile certificates to the people not originally from Jammu and Kashmir, saying the measure is aimed at disempowering the permanent residents politically and economically.
The party demanded immediate revocation of the domicile order and rules by the Centre. NC vice-president and former Chief Minister of the erstwhile State Omar Abdullah said the people of Jammu and Kashmir will be the sufferers of these new domicile rules.
