India, Nov. 17 -- The Jammu & Kashmir Government has withdrawn the Drawing and Disbursing Officer (DDO) powers earlier assigned to senior officials of the Handicrafts and Handloom departments in Jammu.Jammu city guide

According to an official order, the DDO powers vested in the Joint Director Handicrafts Jammu, Joint Director Handloom Jammu, and the Deputy Director (Administration), Handicrafts & Handloom Directorate Jammu, have been revoked.

The move has been made in line with a 2015 Finance Department directive, and the authority to exercise all DDO-related functions will now rest exclusively with the Accounts Officer of the Directorate, effective immediately.
