India, Jan. 24 -- Flight operations at Srinagar Airport resumed on Saturday after remaining suspended for a day due to heavy snowfall, officials said.

The Airports Authority of India (AAI), in coordination with the Border Roads Organization (BRO), cleared snow from the runway, apron and taxiways on Saturday morning, making the aerodrome operational following an improvement in weather conditions.

Air traffic at the airport had been suspended on Friday after major snowfall across Kashmir led to heavy accumulation of snow on the runway, forcing the cancellation of all flights.
