Srinagar, June 7 -- Thousands of Muslims across Jammu and Kashmir offered Eid al-Adha prayers on Saturday in a spirit of peace and brotherhood, with large congregations held at mosques, shrines, and Eidgahs across the Union Territory.
The largest gathering in Srinagar took place at the Hazratbal shrine, where former Chief Ministers Omar Abdullah, Dr. Farooq Abdullah, and Mehbooba Mufti joined the devout in offering Eid prayers. The shrine, which houses the Holy Relic of Prophet Muhammad, is considered the holiest in the region.
