Doda, Sept. 15 -- Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Sandeep Mehta has cautioned social media users in Doda against circulating fake news, old videos, hate speeches, or content that could incite unrest, warning of strict legal action under the Information Technology Act and the Indian Penal Code.

The advisory comes amid rising concerns over misinformation and its potential to trigger disturbances. SSP Mehta reminded citizens of an earlier directive issued by the District Magistrate (Order No. 3471-74/DM Doda dated 03.09.2025), which stresses responsible use of social platforms.
