Jammu Tawi, Feb. 24 -- Sunil Dimple, president of Mission Statehood, met Jammu and Kashmir Cabinet Minister Javed Rana on Monday to discuss several critical issues concerning the region, including water shortages, unemployment, and the restoration of statehood.

During the half-hour meeting, Dimple raised concerns about the acute shortage of drinking water and electricity in Jammu, especially during Ramzan and Shivratri. He urged the government to begin work on the Akhnoor-Chenab water supply project to address the crisis. Dimple also criticized the Public Health Engineering (PHE) department for lacking its own water tankers.
