Jammu Tawi, March 22 -- Sunil Dimple, President of Mission Statehood, led a strong protest rally in Jammu, demanding the passage of a bill in the state assembly to ban the sale of liquor in Jammu and Kashmir. The rally, held at Janipur High Court Road, aimed to raise awareness about the ongoing issue and call for action from the government.
Dimple criticized the lack of support from political parties in passing the bill, despite repeated requests to halt e-tenders for wine shops for the 2025-26 period. He alleged that the infighting among MLAs in the assembly was being used to divert attention from the real issue - the need to ban liquor sales in the region.
