Srinagar, Jan. 25 -- Ahead of Republic Day, Jammu and Kashmir's Director General of Police, R. R Swain on Wednesday directed officers to ensure the highest level of security arrangements and further strengthen the security grids, saying that serious attempts are being made by handlers from across the border to infiltrate terrorists into J&K.

Swain said this while chairing a high-level joint security meeting to review the preparedness in Kashmir regarding the forthcoming Republic Day.

The meeting was attended by officers from the police, army, CRPF, BSF, SSB, CISF, and other sister agencies.
