Srinagar, May 29 -- Director General of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) G P Singh, on Wednesday, conducted a comprehensive review of security and preparedness for the upcoming Shri Amarnath Yatra beginning July 3.

The DG CRPF arrived on a three day visit to Kashmir on Tuesday.

On Wednesday, the DG CRPF visited key pilgrimage locations, including base and transit camps in south Kashmir, to assess on-ground arrangements aimed at ensuring a safe, smooth, and spiritually enriching pilgrimage for lakhs of devotees expected to participate, officials said.

The meeting in south Kashmir was also attended by top J&K Police officers.
