Jammu Tawi, Feb. 11 -- Chief Minister Omer Abdullah, accompanied by senior officials, visited Sonamarg market on Tuesday to assess the damage caused by a massive fire that broke out on last Saturday.

The devastating blaze reduced 45 shops, including several hotels, to ashes.

As per the news agency, during his visit, the Chief Minister assured the affected traders of all possible support and immediate relief.

He emphasized the government's commitment to helping them rebuild their businesses and livelihoods.
