Srinagar, May 27 -- In a symbolic move aimed at restoring confidence among tourists following last month's terror attack, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah will chair a special cabinet meeting on Tuesday at the popular tourist resort of Pahalgam in Anantnag district.

Omar will also chair a meeting On Wednesday, in the ski resort of Gulmarg in North Kashmir, with ministers, administrative secretaries, the divisional commissioner of Kashmir, department heads, and senior police officers.

According to government officials, the meeting in Pahalgam and Gulmarg is intended to send a strong message of safety and normalcy, and to encourage the revival of tourism in the Valley.
