India, Feb. 6 -- In a landmark step towards realizing Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's vision of a peaceful and prosperous North East, the Government of India, Government of Nagaland, and the Eastern Nagaland Peoples' Organisation (ENPO) signed a historic agreement in New Delhi today. The accord, signed in the presence of Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah and Nagaland Chief Minister Shri Neiphiu Rio, paves the way for the creation of the Frontier Nagaland Territorial Authority (FNTA) for six districts - Tuensang, Mon, Kiphire, Longleng, Noklak, and Shamator - with powers over 46 subjects.
