Srinagar, Oct. 9 -- The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Crime Branch Kashmir (CBK) on Wednesday conducted searches at multiple locations across Srinagar in connection with a rs 53 lakh land fraud case, registered under FIR No. 23/2025 for offences under Sections 420 and 120-B of the IPC.

According to an official statement, the case originated from a written complaint alleging that four land brokers - Tariq Ahmad Hajam, Ghulam Hassan Mir, Sonaullah Mir, and Razzak Mir, all residents of Barthana, Srinagar - had fraudulently extracted rs 53 lakh from the complainant under the pretext of arranging a land deal.
