Jammu Tawi, March 2 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi hailed the Union Budget 2025-26, saying it focuses on strengthening the agriculture sector and boosting the rural economy.

Addressing the post-budget webinar on agriculture and rural prosperity, Modi said," We consider agriculture as the primary engine of development and our aim is to ensure that no farmer is left behind"

"We are working towards two major goals, first, the development of the agricultural sector and second is the prosperity of villages".

Sharing some data on the Agriculture sector, he said, PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi was launched 6 years ago, and approximately Rs 3.75 lakh crore has been directly transferred to the bank accounts of 11 crore farmers.
