Jammu, May 1 -- The incident of halting the Jammu-bound Hemkunt Express at Tanda Urmur Station in Punjab, thereby averting a major tragedy in the form of a derailment, not only underscores the commendable alertness of the railway staff but also raises alarm bells about the persistent threats posed by anti-national elements. As per reports, during routine inspection, the vigilant Pointsman noticed suspicious obstructions on the track - including large stones and a piece of iron deliberately placed - apparently with the malicious intent to derail the train. With over 1,200 passengers on board, mostly hailing from the Jammu region, such a conspiracy could have led to an unimaginable disaster.
