Jammu Tawi, March 3 -- Army rescued a critically ill elderly woman to the nearest hospital in the border area of Gurez in Bandipora district. Army said the prompt medical assistance was rendered, and she was evacuated to the nearest hospital, thus saving a precious life. "Chinar Warriors responded to a distress call to evacuate a critically ill elderly lady patient from Niru village, Gurez. Prompt medical assistance was rendered, and she was evacuated to the nearest hospital, thus saving a precious life. Indian Army remains steadfast in its commitment to serve the nation and its citizens," Srinagar-based Army's Chinar Corps said in a post on X on Monday.
