Sources indicate that Army headquarters has directed all commands to monitor social media activity vigilantly and to file FIRs against any ex-serviceman found engaging in such activities.

A recent case in Jaipur saw the Army filing an FIR against a former soldier who repeatedly made allegations against the army and its functioning through a YouTube channel.
