Jammu Tawi, Feb. 27 -- The Indian Army has initiated strict actions against former soldiers allegedly spreading misinformation and damaging its reputation on social media platforms. Sources indicate that Army headquarters has directed all commands to monitor social media activity vigilantly and to file FIRs against any ex-serviceman found engaging in such activities.
A recent case in Jaipur saw the Army filing an FIR against a former soldier who repeatedly made allegations against the army and its functioning through a YouTube channel. The Army has reportedly placed several other ex-servicemen, particularly those dismissed from service for indiscipline, under its radar for similar actions.
