Srinagar, May 12 -- Borders in Jammu and Kashmir witnessed first calm night in recent days, Army said on Monday.
They said no incident of cross border shelling was reported during the intervening night of Sunday and Monday.
"The night remained largely peaceful across Jammu & Kashmir and other areas along the International Border. No incidents have been reported, marking the first calm night in recent days, " an Army statement on Monday said.
Jammu and Kashmir witnessed a tense spell of cross-border shelling over the past fortnight.
