India, Jan. 19 -- An earthquake measuring 5.7 on the Richter scale struck Leh district in Ladakh on Monday, officials said.
According to the National Center for Seismology (NCS), the tremor occurred at 11:51 am (IST) at a depth of 171 kilometres. There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage to property.
Authorities said the situation was being monitored, while residents reported feeling the tremors across parts of the district.
