Jammu Tawi, March 25 -- Jammu and Kashmir police have detained eight people for allegedly glorifying terrorism through social media platforms.
The Cyber Police Srinagar identified eight individuals operating adverse social media handles for posting content that promoted terrorism and extremist ideologies, police said.
"During cyber surveillance and patrolling, 8 individuals operating adverse social media handles were identified for posting content that promoted terrorism and extremist ideologies. Following the investigations, all eight were detained for questioning," a police statement said.
