Jammu, May 30 -- The second edition of the nationwide civil defence mock drill, "Operation Shield," initially set for May 29, has been rescheduled to May 31 due to administrative adjustments, officials confirmed on Wednesday.

Organised by the Ministry of Home Affairs, the large-scale exercise aims to bolster preparedness in the event of enemy attacks and will be conducted simultaneously across all western states and Union Territories sharing a border with Pakistan, including Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Rajasthan, and Gujarat.
