China, Oct. 23 -- Indonesian speed climber, Aries Susanti Rahayu, has been dubbed 'Spiderwoman' for smashing world record at the IFSC Climbing World Cup in China.

Rahayu finished the 15-metre course in astounding 6.995 seconds.

She defeated Yi Ling Song of China- the world no. 1, who held the previous top record of 7.101 seconds- in the final.

Video of the performance has been viewed more than 6.1 million times and retweeted over 85,000 times since it was uploaded on Twitter.

Rahayu scales the near-vertical wall, set at an angle of 95 degrees, with such ease and grace it looks effortless.

The 24-year-old gold medalist told media that she was "very grateful for this achievement and also for the endless post".
