Nigeria, Dec. 22 -- The Executive Secretary of the Yobe State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Dr. Mohammed Goje, has announced that Governor Mai Mala Buni has approved a Christmas and New Year food support program for 8,000 vulnerable people across Yobe State.
Dr. Goje explained in a statement from Damaturu that the seasonal package will include rice, vegetable oil, spaghetti, and semovita.
The support will directly benefit 1,000 people and indirectly reach 7,000 others in vulnerable households across the state.
"All logistics have been completed to ensure smooth and timely distribution," Dr. Goje said, adding that the initiative aims to make sure no deserving household is left out.
